
Jiri Tlusty's Biography
Jiri Tlusty was born March 16th 1988 in Slany, Chec Republic and was projected as a sniper by the Leafs and had hopes he would develop into the finisher the organization needed. He also had some leadership experience as he captained the Czech Under-18 team to a 2006 World Under-18 Championship.
Tlusty was traded to the Hurricanes December 3rd 2009 for Philippe Paradis. Tlusty has had more time playing in the NHL since being traded to the Hurricanes and will be hoping to stay in the Canes lineup. Jiri is a strong skater, Tlusty is also a hard worker. Tlusty combines a willingness to engage in the rough stuff along with his more refined skill set, which projects him to be an attractive future top-two center with the Canes.
